Our website and/or app uses "cookies" to track use and allow customers to purchase from our website and/or app. Please note that these cookies do not contain or pass any personal, confidential or financial information or any other information that could be used to identify individual visitors or customers purchasing from our website and/or app. Please note that you are free to refuse cookies. However, for purely technical reasons this may prevent you from purchasing from our website and/or app. This is because anonymous cookies are commonly used to keep track of the contents of customers’ shopping baskets or trolleys during the checkout process. This facility ensures that the items added to (or removed from) your basket are accurately stated when you go to pay.

15.2 What are cookies?

Cookies are small files containing a short string of numbers and letters placed automatically by a website and/or app into the cookie folder in your browser. Cookies are generally used to make a website and/or app easier and faster to use. The cookie recognises that a device is or has accessed the website and/or app and acts accordingly, (depending on what the cookie is designed to do). Mostly cookies perform mundane, but necessary tasks.

15.3 How do we use cookies?

We typically use cookies for the following purposes:

15.3.1 Ensure all parts of the website and/or app requested by visitors work correctly and appear quickly.

15.3.2 Alert us whenever a page on the website and/or app or the entire website and/or app is slow and not working at all.

15.3.3 To display adverts that may be more relevant and useful to you.

15.3.4 Analyse how visitors use our website and/or app, so that we can continually improve it by adding more information and services and making it easier to navigate and use.

15.3.5 To ensure that products you as a customer add to your shopping basket remain in your basket as you go through the checkout process, so you get what you pay for.

15.3.6 To remember you as a customer.

15.3.7 To allow customers and visitors to share our website and/or app content on social media and with friends.

15.4 Consent and cookies

Some cookies used by us are sent to your computer or mobile device as soon as the first page you view on our website and/or app is displayed. As a result we infer consent for these and other cookies if you use our website and/or app.

15.5 No personal information in cookies

None of the cookies we use contain or pass personal, confidential, financial information or any other information that could be used to identify individual visitors to the website and/or app.

15.6 Your shopping basket and cookies

If you buy a product or service from our website and/or app we do use cookies to pass your contact details through the checkout process. But we never request or store any financial details in this way. Your financial details are only ever passed using an encrypted and secure format from our secure payment page to your own bank for processing.

15.7 Refusing cookies

Using your browser settings you are free to refuse cookies. However, for purely technical reasons this may cause errors when trying to use our website and/or app.

16. Website and App Analytics

We may also partner with selected third-party vendors, such as Google Analytics and others, to allow tracking technologies and remarketing services on our website and/or app through the use of first-party cookies and third-party cookies, to, among other things, analyse and track users’ use of our website and/or app, determine the popularity of certain content and better understand online activity. By accessing our website and/or app, you consent to the collection and use of your information by these third-party vendors. You are encouraged to review their privacy policy and contact them directly for responses to your questions. We do not transfer personal information to these third-party vendors. However, if you do not want any information to be collected and used by tracking technologies, you can visit the third-party vendor or the Network Advertising Initiative Opt-Out Tool or Digital Advertising Alliance Opt-Out Tool.
